Hugo's Solar System is made for children, so it is built to collect nothing.
What we do not do
There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no cookies, no advertising, no analytics that identify you, and no third-party trackers. Nothing you do on the page is sent to us. Your progress, if the site ever remembers it, stays in your own browser.
What your browser fetches
Like any web page, the site loads a few files from other servers, and those servers see your IP address in the ordinary way:
- cdnjs.cloudflare.com for the animation library and icon font.
- api.nasa.gov for the optional NASA Live Data panel (Astronomy Picture of the Day and near-Earth objects). It is only requested to show you the pictures and numbers; nothing about you is included beyond the request itself.
The music and the spoken narration are played by your own device.
The background music is "Frozen Star" by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com), used under the Creative Commons BY 4.0 licence.
Children
The site is intended for children aged 4 to 11 and the adults who read with them. Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing to request, correct or delete. If you believe the site has done something it should not, please tell us and we will fix it.
